Pinch me. Am I dreaming? Ouch.
Okay, it is real. I am a lucky woman. My life is one extraordinary moment after another and Caruh is the foundation. It is where I feel grounded to what is real. Funny though, because I am rarely there. What? Yep. I live in Bend, OR where my husband and I are building a ranch. Soon to be a retreat center and you will be invited to come hang out with me and study The 7 Behaviors of Beauty™.
My favorite part of owning Caruh is watching how my team can transform our guests in just 45 minutes. Amazing. Not just how they look, but how they feel. You can see the change – mostly in their eyes – between when they arrive and when they leave after having one of our services. It is a gift.
I am not a hairdresser and am a complete disaster with my own hair (ask anyone!) I am too hyper and assertive to be a spa therapist. All I can do at Caruh is run the place and the truth is, my team does a better job at that than I do. So, I try to stay out of their way and let them do their thing. I work on lots of great projects behind the scenes. I host a “backstage pass” program that gives me a chance to connect with our guests and in turn, they get a sneak peek at what’s new at Caruh before we officially launch.
My career in beauty started in 1988 with Aveda. I have been mesmerized with beauty and everything about it ever since. In 2004, I made it my life’s mission to understand what beauty really is and why it has such universal power. What I learned, changed my life and I look forward to sharing it with you at an upcoming webinar or workshop. (Hint: beauty is not how you look, it’s how you behave.) What else do you want to know? I swear too much. I am a neat freak. I love good conversations and a glass of wine. I love innovative concepts. I love public speaking (I know – crazy, but I do). I love cowboy boots. I love my boys. I love my life.
